All Saints Day

It is just an ordinary day here in America but not for me. It is remarkable day for me for the new experience that I encounter for 10 long hours. It is a new world for me compared for my world before. Using my interpersonal skills, appearance, humor and my speaking ability might be a great help soon. I overwhelmed to the different sounds that I heard, sometimes I rattled what to do. Ending to push the wrong button. Hahaha. It reminded me to use all my senses especially hearing and seeing or else a disaster might happened. Little by little I will learn the process and might be an expert soon.
The starving day was compensated by the sumptuous Mexican food given by a friend. Yummy, deliciouso Amiga.

Btw, I already passed the written exam that I took last Friday. What I want to learn is the skill by hands on or by doing it. Oh yeah, I can do it. Just don't be nervous Amigo. aha!
Oh there is still hope for something if you believe God. I know I believed in HIM. Have faith in Him. Gracias.
Before sleeping tonight we offer our rosary to our dearly departed love ones particularly my father and the father of my friend and all the souls in purgatory. May your souls rest in peace.

Halloween

Prior before Halloween last night is a street fair in Myrtle Avenue showcasing different merchandize, services and foods. It reminds me of baratillo in our town or the goods of Divisoria. I remember last year when I was still in the bay area, the Adviento family and myself was in Alameda for the trick or treat of their kids in one lane avenue that participated in that event.
Here, I just attended the anticipated mass for the day. Seeing the kids in costume after the mass going to the different houses really reminded me more about my experience last year in Alameda. A few minutes past and I received a call from Joel, husband of Emmy, a teacher asking my whereabouts. All of them are celebrating their Halloween in Alameda in Dong's house. Everyone wants to talked to me. I have a few minutes chit chatting with them. I remember these families who became my friends there.
I also learned from them that the laptop of Justin and Angel was stolen. They informed me that if I was still there I might also one of the victim. The culprits pass at the open window of Justine room at the back. Definitely I might be one of the victim because I placed this laptop just on the top of my table. An inviting scenario to the thieves. Yes, this is happening here in America, may akyat bahay din. Kaya ingat, ingat lang tayo dito.

Movie time

I am not an avid viewer of horror movies. I hate spending dollars to scare myself. This movie anyway is not a horror movie but rather a PG movie based on the classic 1963 children book by Maurice Sendak.
Max, a rambunctious and sensitive boy feels misunderstood at home and escapes to where the Wild Things are. He lands on an island where he meets mysterious and strange creatures whose emotions are as wild and unpredictable as their actions. The Wild Things desperately long for a leader to guide them, just as Max longs for a kingdom to rule. When Max is crowned king, he promises to create a place where everyone will be happy. Max soon finds, though, that ruling his kingdom is not so easy and his relationships there prove to be more complicated than he originally thought...Yahoo movie
Max the lead character needs attention of her mom and sister. The wild things creatures depicts a character in all of us that you can relate to. My eyes was glued in the screen when I noticed my friend sobbing in the near end part of the story. I handed her a tissue paper. She said "I hate goodbyes". Maybe because my friend emphatize with the situation of her own son she left behind back home.
This is an opportunity for parents to enjoy with their children to see this movie.

One of the exciting part now is to learn new life skills. I admit that I am sheltered back home because there is somebody who will take care for me like doing my laundry. Here I have do it my own. Last night is my first time to used the public laundry shop here. It is a new experienced for me. I have only seen this scenario in the movies or television. I haven't experienced before because all the abode that I went to have their own washing machine. I just spent $1 for washing and $0.50 for using the drier. Hahaha it's so funny that sometimes I am really ignorant to operate the machine and need to asked my friend how it works. Nevertheless accomplishing the task is a fulfillment for my part. So, every week I am surely a habitual guest of this laundry place.

I am also learning something that might a great help for me someday. But I need to pass some written exam to be an expert of this. Back in San Pablo, I am really reluctant to try this skill because of some personal reason. My friend here persuaded me to learn this skill because it is important here in America. I am quiet nervous of doing it, thank God that we practice at Rose bowl Pasadena, a huge area that is really convenient to practice this skill. There is apprehension and nervousness for my part. I am not used of this kind of skill but later on I feel that it is easy to learned this skill when your actually doing it. What I need now is constant practice. Need to review now for the written test next week...

I am back. It has been a year when I left this place to go the other side of California. As we passed by Pasadena and seeing familiar places that I been to created excitement again. Yes, I did not left this place. This is where I belong. I am home.
Seeing my old friend for a year, and reminiscing our happy days in Pasadena. Bonding moment must me given to the lost time. We headed off to the famous Sta. Monica beach. It reminded me of this beach a year ago when all of us teachers visited this place for the first time.
